T1i Canon Rebel / 500D firmware for video?

I am interested in purchasing a digital SLR with video, I have a Canon EOS and many objectives, so it has to be from Canon, can not afford a 7D or 5D2, but I think the 500d is a bit limiting for the video. Does anyone know if there's a trick for him FireWire to control the frame rate (I need to 50i or 25p) and exposure to fly? I guess you are asking for a firmware hack, not a "Firewire" hack. Unfortunately, there is nothing to I have found available. I have a T1i, and would also take manual control as the T1i not do a very good selection of self-employment. I have a video filmed with a loan 5D2, and often foster the opening of 10-12 mesh to increase the depth of field, as the autofocus is not availablewhile shooting video. Another problem with T1i is the internal microphone. Not too bad to pick "good" sounds (the sounds you want, as part of its video), but unfortunately also takes a lot of "bad" sound. (Sounds of the inner workings of the camera, wind noise, etc. ..) And unfortunately, there is no microphone port external in T1i. As much as I love the T1i for photos, I am disapointed in its performance as a camcorder. That is a shame because the camera is capable of capture really "amazing" video in circumatances Ideal. Just do not adapt very well to the "real world" shooting conditions.
