How to import a video in the Canon camera to my MacBook?
I have a Canon camera and have had no problems importing images or videos in the past, but suddenly there is an avi on my camera that will not matter. I tried to import through and image capture, but that is not working well. Any clue?
I take the memory card from the camera and use a card reader connected to the MacBook. I want to download and install http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/flip4macwindowsmediacomponentsforquicktime.html Flip4Mac if all you want is to see the video … but if I edit the video (in iMovie FinaCut), I downloaded and installed MPEG Streamclip and http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/mpegstreamclip.html convert AVI or MOV file to MP4 format and then drag the converted file to the catchment area (from iMovie or FinalCut). "Capture Image" is for images fixed – no video.
