Why won’t my Windows Vista recognize my digital Video Camera with the S-video connection ?
I have a brand new computer with Windows Vista OS. Believe it or not, there is NO fire wire outlet on this computer. It does have an S video outlet, and when I plug it into my digital video camera, it doesn’t recognize that it is there. The software that came with the computer says to plug it in with a firewire,….. but there isn’t an outlet on there, for that ! ?? Can you tell me how to make the computer recognize the camera through an s-video cable ?

You can also go to the camera manufacturer’s website and see if they have any software or drivers for Vista that you can download, but using a firewire connector will be a much better solution.

Depending on the size of the memory card, it could hold hundreds of images.
The prices on digital cameras can range from $30 to $5000. They can be expensive. Not everyone can afford a $5000 camera. So how do you find a digital camera on discount. The options are many. You can check at your local camera retail outlet. You can also explore the possibilities at you local chain department store. Everyone runs sales from time to time. There is only one way, that will offer you the full spectrum, save you a ton of leg work, and do so instantly. The internet. At any given moment you can go on the internet and compare literally hundreds of digital cameras. The competition is so fierce on the web, that you will find discounts galore. Just set down at your personal computer and start searching. You have to be savvy. Many sites may say they offering a discount. You cannot just take the word of the first website you see. Surf the net. All those camera outlets and chain department stores should have a web address as well. Search and compare prices until you find one that meets your expectations.
