Kodak Camera Nz

What am I doing wrong….It doesn’t work?
I receive a Kodak C813 Digital Camera from a friend in the US and I am in New Zealand.
The First instruction reads….”before connecting any cables, install software that was included with you camera. Follow the screen instructions.”
I take it that is the disc
After installing return to the getting started booklet.
That appears straight forward in NZ English does that mean something else to Americans.?
If you want to use that software then do an uninstall and start over with the install process – follow the directions carefully.
The software that you are trying to install is Kodak Easyshare. It has no connection to being able to use your camera. You do not need to use that software to upload your pics and I recommend that you don’t. Just take the pics and pull the SD card out, place in computer digital media slot and use whatever picture processing program you like – a list of what’s available on your computer will come up when you place the SD card in the slot. Anything is better than Easyshare, which will also try to take over all photo handling on your computer. I use Picasa (Google) which I’m not too happy with either, but it’s better than Easyshare.
