Taking pictures in New York?
My husband and I are traveling to New York to see Ground Zero and Yankee game and do some sightseeing (Times Square, Broadway, etc.). We have a Nikon D60 digital SLR and wondering if we may use it in New York on the street? There seems to be some sort of right to enter force in August (we're in June) and we were not sure that our camera will be OK to use or not? Besides, do you think is disrespectful to take pictures at the WTC? My husband and I was not sure. We only have the camera, a tripod, and we are only amateur photographers.
My friend, do not worry, nobody will say "put the camera away." The police here got bigger fish to catch and you will not worry about a bunch of tourists taking photos on the subway or on sites of WTC. Is found. New York City is the capital of the world image. Forty million visitors taking millions of photos in Times Square and other locations each year and not bother with a police or security agents. So go crazy and take as many photos as you want, because nobody will stop you. Good luck
I’m Dreaming of a Pink Christmas
