Which is better Nikon D60 or D3000?
I know d3000 was designed as an entry-level model and is currently in production. However, the D60 is classified as a "medium range model 'on Wikipedia, but is an older model as the D5000 was replaced today. The Nikon D60 and the d3000 is the same price (both NZ $ 1000). I just wanted to know what the best digital SLR Camera for a beginner. And indeed it is Nikon SLR brand to go for? Thanks for your help
I think Wikipedia is wrong. The "middle range" Nikon DSLR were / are the D70, D70, D80 and D90 cameras Here is the list of entry level Nikon D40 DSLR (the most popular) D40x (slight upgrade) D60 (large update D40x) D3000 (input level Latest Nikon DSLR) D5000 (Hot new high of the moment, but still DSLR entry level) What makes a Nikon digital SLR camera entry level? The entry-level cameras can only use auto focus AF-S and AF-I lenses. Other AF lenses must be focused manually with cameras. If I could not find a new D40 somewhere, I would choose the D3000
