What does R11 mean the button on my Nikon D40x?
I have a Nikon D40x. In the viewer at the bottom of the screen that has [R11] message appears. Not knowing if an error message for lighting. It also let me actually take the picture. What about that? I'm confused and the manual does not explain. Help!
The little "r" number of photos lets you know how many more can take in a row before having to leave the chamber catch up, the writing of image files to the memory card that have been placed in the buffer chambers. My old D100 buffer is so small, more "r" which is 3. You can watch it work by shooting as fast as possible and see the "r" number get smaller and smaller until reaches 0. You can see how everything works.
