What should you look for while buying a camera?
I think of choosing between olympus, nikon, canon and linux. Is sony good? My budget is $400-$600.
MegaPixel is clarity, right?
Buy the cheapest and the least complicated. Any adjustment necessary detracts from the fun of taking pictures and doesn’t result in anything better than you can get with a disposable, fixed focus camera made by Kodak, Fuji, Polaroid or a local firm. Avoid tripods and complicated electronic automatic adustments. Just point, look at picture in the viewer, check picture in your head and press the button, with or without automatic flash. I’ve won prizes with such simple cameras with photographs of sunsets, sunrises, fireworks, buildings, gardens, flowers, bricks, insects, birds, animals and waterfalls.
