Camera Tripod Bag
Need a good camera bag. Thinking about the sling?
I am looking for a good camera for air transport (-a) and general excursions / Day trips / etc. Currently I have a Canon gadget bag that has everything very well, but sucks to travel due to the shoulder strap. I have a Rebel XTi, 70-300mm zoom lens 17-85mm, 50mm lenses, Speedlite 430EX (coming soon!) and various filters, accessories, etc. So I'm thinking of getting the Lowepro slingshot 100 which seems very comfortable and suits my stuff. The only drawback I see is that there is no strap to the tripod. I would not want to carry. Anyone have some jerry-platform to strap the tripod on? Or can you recommend a different bag that fits my needs and carry a tripod? I really want to get a package style honda but I think I'll have to go the route MiniTrekker. Looking to stick around or under $ 100
Yes, I like how no tripod mount. If you will be hiking and walking more, I actually went with a series FastPack. You have a little more space, and has the same quick and easy opening side, too. And with a real bag, you will have more support and feel more comfortable. Sling bags are generally best for when you're on a bicycle. You could always go to the bottom on the holder's Vertex series tripod, but then could only carry the camera equipment and have no misc. room. I just want the team in some way. If you're serious, I could only sew in some strong rope and make your own tripod holder of one of the owners of a bottle of water, on the side. (That's really what I do with my FastPack).
