I'm trying to copy video from my camcorder to your PC, garbage out, what am I doing wrong?
My camera is a DV camera Samsung cassette Sotware and I'm using came with the camera, and connects via the USB port. I want to copy and editing video to put on DVD. The quality when comes through is really jumping and the picture is very pixelated. What software / hardware do I need or I'm doing wrong?
What is the speed of the CPU of your computer? How much RAM do you have? USB1 or 2? Copying things, what is the file extension of the save file: avi? mpg? wmv? more? In a file 1 video than a minute, how many MB is the file? This will indicate where the problem lies to foles avi (best quality, but BIG) to be approximately 30 MB per minute. There are many different compression algorithms (formats), and some work better than others, perhaps you have all the settings wrong – do not try to file a size too small or your leg. Capture Cards make a hell of a difference – not all are equal and some of the cheapest with TV tuner is not worth off a little shit!
