Who makes a good home / office wireless security camera that can record video or be seen on the Internet?
I looking to create a pair of wireless camera in my home and home office. I would like to detect motion, video capture when detected movement, see distance (if I'm away from home).
I recommend both Linksys and Dlink Internet Camera – the DCS950G DLINK and Linksys are WVC54GCA great entry level IP security cameras that do the job. That should cost between $ 100 to $ 150 U.S. Dollars. Models more advanced (and expensive) add features as Pan and Zoom – good to have features, but do not have. If you already have a DLINK or Linksys wireless router or wired, may be a good idea to continue with the same manufacturer Internet Camera for the documentation that will provide more specific information about configuring the router. A home security video camera can also be set up to be used with motion detection devices. Once movement is detected in different areas of your house, your cameras can be prompted to start recording automatically. They can also be configured to start recording and set off alarms inside you house, whether silent or not.

By connecting it to a computer, you can also monitor things from a remote location so this is especially useful while you are traveling.
